Before You Start: Create Your AI Assistant on the Web
Before using the Mac App, make sure you’ve already created your AI assistant on the Beyz web platform and completed the basic setup.
- Log in to beyz.ai and go to Assistant / Meeting Assistant.
- Click “New Assistant” to create a new one.
- Fill in the basic details — give it a name, define its role or scenario, and add relevant context (like company background, key documents, FAQs, or scripts).
- Click Activate to save and sync your assistant.
This step ensures your assistant knows the right context and can deliver accurate, meaningful responses later on.
Download and Install the Mac Desktop App
- From the web interface, click “Desktop App” and choose Mac to download the installer.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the instructions to install Beyz on your Mac.
- Once installed, open the app — you’ll notice your account is already logged in automatically, and all your assistants are synced and ready to go.
Select Your Assistant & Connect Your Device
- On the Mac App home screen, select the assistant you want to use (for meetings, interviews, or other contexts).
- You’ll see a QR code appear.
- Scan the QR code using your phone, iPad, or any other device you prefer.
(Not just iPhone — Beyz works seamlessly on all devices that can scan a QR code.)
- Once connected, your “secret helper” will instantly appear on your mobile or tablet screen.
Start Recording Your Meeting or Interview
- On the Mac App, click “Start.”
- The app will begin recording your microphone audio and send the session data to your connected device in real time.
- During the meeting, the Mac app listens while the mobile app analyzes and provides insights in real time.
Compared to the web version, the Mac App gives you:
- Clearer, system-level audio — better sound quality than browser recording
- More stability — runs independently from your browser
- Privacy and discretion — no open tabs, no distractions
- Quick access — launch anytime, even offline
- Cross-device flexibility — connect from iPhone, iPad, or any QR-enabled device
Tips for the Best Experience
- Test your setup with a short trial meeting before using it live.
- Make sure Beyz has permission to access your microphone in
- System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
- If you’ve updated your assistant’s context or details, refresh or restart the Mac App to sync the changes.
- For group meetings, position your Mac close to speakers to capture clear sound.
- For the smoothest connection, keep your Mac and mobile device on the same Wi-Fi network.
That’s It!
With the Mac Desktop App, you can enjoy clearer recording, seamless syncing, and complete privacy — whether you’re in an interview, a client meeting, or a brainstorming session.
Let Beyz handle the details — so you can focus on the conversation.
